Australia has recently lived through summer’s scorching heat, uncontrollable bushfires and unpredictable floods that have left many feeling lost. It’s almost unimaginable to find hope today when faced with such devastation.
Easter helps us prepare for the hope of brighter, better days following darkness. Easter speaks of the hope and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Acts 10:39-40, it says:
“We are witnesses of everything He did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed Him by hanging Him on a tree, but God raised Him from the dead on the third day and caused Him to be seen.”
The reality of His risen presence is the greatest message ever given to human beings. It’s the ultimate ‘signal of hope’.
Easter is a time where we can give all our burdens to God and He will replace them with hope. Through the cross, God sends us a signal of hope to sustain us through difficult times.
Now is the time we need a signal of hope the most.
