Wesley School for Seniors
Wesley School for Seniors offers learning opportunities for people over 55 years old to help you learn new skills and socialise in an environment that is safe and supportive.
The tentative re-opening date stands at Friday 24 August 2020 (mid Term 3). Enrolments will begin two weeks prior to the start date. This will be subject to the tutors undergoing infection control training and social distancing guidelines put in place. Please check back on this page for any further updates.
About the school
There are more than 90 courses offered at Wesley School for Seniors covering a diverse range of learning experiences, with different levels of learning available from beginner through to advanced.
Classes are held Monday to Friday at Wesley Mission’s Wesley Centre in Sydney’s CBD, and on various days at Alan Walker Village in Carlingford. Each term, approximately 450 students aged 55 years and over attend classes.
The range of subjects offered and the quality of teaching make it a cutting-edge centre for learning. Teachers and instructors volunteer their time and bring a wealth of experience from their field of expertise—some are retired university lecturers, whilst others have been craftspeople for many years.
