Friends and bullying
While one in four students have reported to being bullied, peers are present in 87% of these interactions – normally as bystanders. The statistics are confronting but we want to help.
Bullying can make you feel isolated and worthless, lonely, anxious, angry and lacking confidence. You may experience some or all of these feelings. We want to help you tackle this through social skills and creating a sense of belonging.
How is this done?
Wesley Youth Services works with troubled school-aged young people and encourage schools to accept and fully enact anti-bullying programs.
Wesley Brighter Futures help young children whose troubled backgrounds have hindered their development which has often led to bullying.
Wesley Operation Hope camps provide young people in need the opportunity to get away from their day to day environment and experience the genuine care by Wesley Mission caseworkers.
If you’re experiencing bullying, help is available through our youth centres below.
