Five tips for good mental health
With approximately one in six Australians experiencing mental illness each year, mental health is a significant issue across Australia.
To help raise awareness and support people in need, we have gathered five quick tips from Wesley Mental Health Services to starting the day in good mental health.
Catch up
Talk to those you trust (friends, family, neighbours, etc.) about how you are feeling.
Love yourself
Allow time to relax and do things you enjoy. Consider joining a group or club to meet people with common interests.
Healthy body, healthy mind
Try to maintain a balanced diet, don’t overdo it on the alcohol, exercise regularly and keep healthy sleeping patterns.
Give back
Volunteer in your community–the effort your put in, you'll get back tenfold.
Reach out
Don't be afraid to ask for help. Ask a trusted friend, family member or health professional.
