Team Wesley Mission raises record funds at City2Surf 2018
On Sunday morning Bondi Beach was awash with a sea of blue singlets as more than 110 runners took part in City2Surf wearing the Wesley Mission running singlets along the 14km track from Hyde Park to the iconic Bondi beach. The sun shone brightly as our volunteers cheered and supported all of the participants across the finish line.
Our corporate partner AMP hosted a marquee for Team Wesley where exhausted runners got to enjoy refreshments and beautiful drawings by children from the Wesley Dalmar programme. AMP has been an incredible support to Wesley Mission and are passionate about raising funds to support young people in need. Almost $70,000 has been raised to date, with funds going to support Wesley Youth Services.
This year’s City2Surf has been the most successful year so far for Team Wesley Mission and we are very grateful to everyone who fundraised to support our services, especially our staff who trained, fundraised and ran on the day.
