Wesley Impact! TV: Lessons from the Media

In this week's episode of Wesley Impact! TV, Rev Keith Garner looks at the resurrection experience of ‘doubting Thomas’ and explains that though we know Thomas as a doubter, in fact he is a believer who was convicted of his faith enough to declare that Jesus was his ‘lord and God’.

You’ll also hear from Leigh Hatcher about what it’s like to be a Christian in the media.

Plus, Lily Kwon performs a beautiful rendition of ‘My Redeemer’.

Interview: Leigh Hatcher

Leigh Hatcher is a renowned journalist who began his career on the day of the 1975 constitutional crisis. Since then Hatcher has moved from radio to TV and now directing.

Hatcher says to other Christians who might like to get into the media, “you're not paid to be an evangelist at work. Though, in time, your light will shine. And likely over a much longer period than I think many frameworks or evangelism give a chance to.”

Hatcher has some other great tips on the show this week for aspiring journalists – including how to hold on to truth in this complex media landscape.
