Wesley Impact! TV: The power of a fair
In this week's episode of Wesley Impact! TV, Rev Keith Garner sits down at the Wesley Fair and speaks with his lovely wife Carol Garner. Hear from Carol about how the Wesley Fair makes a difference to people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll also hear Rev Garner reflect on the final Sunday of Advent, when we remember the faithfulness, willingness and love of Joseph, despite his strange circumstances.
Plus, we’re joined by performer Luke Taylor as he delivers a heartfelt rendition of ‘I Have This Hope’, an inspiring song that no matter what happens, God is with us and will sustain us.
Interview: Carol Garner
In recent years, homelessness has become an increasing problem in Australia. So what can be done to support those who find themselves living on the streets?
That’s the question Wesley Mission seeks to address, especially through their crisis accommodation centre in the heart of Sydney. In today’s episode of Wesley Impact! TV, Rev Keith Garner speaks with his wife Carol Garner about how the Wesley Fair is raising money to support the redevelopment of this centre.
As Carol says, “God loves every person, and I feel that we should help to give people back their lives, give them dignity, give them a way of life that is wonderful and what everybody else would expect.”
Guest Performance: Luke Taylor – I Have This Hope
Luke Taylor joins us in the studio to perform a wonderfully uplifting song called ‘I Have This Hope’.
Keith's Message: Joseph steps up
Rev Keith Garner opens God’s Word to look at Matthew 1:18-21, which records how Joseph responds when he finds out his bride-to-be is pregnant. At first, understandably, Joseph is afraid and embarrassed.
But ultimately, with God’s help, Joseph steps up to care for Mary and the baby Jesus. He becomes Jesus’ earthly father, helping to raise and guide him.
Rev Garner will explain what we can learn from Joseph this Advent season.
